I’m George.

I’m a creative, director and writer, who lives between Penzance and London.

My first job was in Westminster writing speeches and letters for Government Ministers. I learnt a lot, but the biggest thing I learnt was that politics wasn’t for me. So I left and wrote adverts instead. In the last five years I’ve worked for a range of agencies and in-house, on work varying from the Manscaped ‘Snooker’ spot to promos for BBC World News.

People hate ads. Which is fair enough. I do too. It’s why much of my work is based on helping brands make things that earn their audience’s attention rather than just shout at them the loudest. That might be by filling a film with thinly veiled dick jokes like the afformentioned Manscaped spot, or by shooting a textured, dark, black and white 16mm film of a standing stone for a highly engaged social campaign

These days I spend most of my time consulting brands and helping them find gooder ways of talking to people, through brand strategy, advertising campaigns and making films.

If you would like to work together, get some advice about starting out in advertising, or tell me my work is shit, m

A break from the ad break, to celebrate the return of Dave’s most relaxing show.

Two films for Manscaped, for TV in the US, UK, and Australia, as well as online globally with over 9 million views on YouTube.

A very silly easter campaign for New Theory.

TV, and out-of-home campaign aiming to encourage UK households to reduce their waste.
